Sarah-James

Founder, Individual Therapist and Coach

Hi, I am Sarah James the founder of The Counseling Place. I hold a BA and MSW from the University of Denver. In addition, I am a Certified Addiction Counselor, Certified EMDR Therapist, Certified Executive Coach, Certified Business Coach, and Certified Emergenetics Coach.

Sarah is also an EMDR Approved consultant and teaches other therapists how to use EMDR Therapy in their own practices.

For nearly 20 years, I have been helping people break through their walls and old life patterns that keep them stuck in their lives and move them into their best selves. I use several techniques through this process including, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, EMDR Therapy, and many coaching strategies. I have spent over 25,000 hours working with clients throughout my career. I know how to get people where they want to go by engaging in therapy.

Individual Therapy

Why is working with me so effective? I have extremely strong intuitive skills that cut through the confusion and get to the root of the matter quickly. Without healing and neutralizing the root issue, it makes forward movement difficult. This is where my strategies that I have been using and perfecting for nearly 15 years come in. I also use direct and honest communication with you in order to optimize the effectiveness of therapy. We don’t beat around the bush. People come to me wanting to make substantial changes in their lives and we take action to achieve their goals.

Career, Executive, and Business Coaching

I help people like you gain a whole new sense of freedom, purpose, and confidence in the work they do every day.

Say goodbye to stress, anxiety, and sleeplessness and discover a whole new sense of freedom & purpose

Finally feel confident and in control of your career and your work days

Stop being reactive and become confident, decisive, and at cause

Make more money and feel fulfilled in your career

I’ve made it my mission and life’s purpose to prove to you that you don’t have to be unhappy, oppressed, or feel held back by your career. That’s old school thinking. You know, the old “Well, if it were fun it wouldn’t be called a job,” kind of thinking.
